Attention Market Rules

How daily Attention Markets, Boosts, rankings, close, and benefits operate.

Limited beta notice. This policy applies to the closed beta and may be updated as the service develops. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date.

Daily market

Each MarketDay is a global UTC-day market for eligible approved launches. The published UTC window runs from 00:00:00.000 through 23:59:59.999 UTC. The close is hard: accepted transactions must complete before close, and there is no anti-sniping or Extra Time. A market may be cancelled for operational, integrity, or safety reasons.

Eligibility

An approved Launch may compete during its fourteen-day eligibility window and for no more than seven finalized paid MarketDays; cancelled days do not count toward that cap. A Product may have only one entry per MarketDay. An Organization may promote multiple distinct Products. Initial entry requires at least five Promotion Credits.

Boosts and ranking

Authorized Organization owners and members may commit Promotion Credits to their eligible Market Entry. Ranking is based only on accepted Promotion Credits. More Credits rank higher; the entry that reached a tied total first ranks ahead, with stable entry ID as the final deterministic tie-break. The minimum increment is 5 Credits below a 100-Credit target, 10 below 500, 25 below 1,000, 50 below 5,000, and then 2% rounded up. Primary Category standings derive from the same market activity and are not a separate paid market. Clicks, impressions, Trending activity, comments, or votes do not affect rank.

Quotes and changed markets

Position shortcuts are server-calculated estimates, not reservations or guarantees. A Boost is atomic and idempotent. If the target has become stale before the transaction completes, the service returns MARKET_CHANGED so the advertiser can obtain a current quote. Redis is not required for financial or ranking correctness.

Close, finalization, and history

Finalization is idempotent, freezes the deterministic result, records achievements and earned-benefit snapshots, and preserves historical standings. Operational reconciliation compares Boost transactions, immutable Credit accounting, and market totals. Cancelled markets retain audit history and do not fabricate a champion.

Champion benefit

AttentionWatch Champion Feature

Eligible Daily Champions may receive an editorial feature or promotional placement through AttentionWatch Editorial, including AttentionWatch-owned or approved partner publications, subject to editorial and operational review.

This benefit does not guarantee a specific publication, date, headline, placement size, clicks, traffic, conversions, revenue, or advertiser control over editorial content. Fulfillment is reviewed and recorded by an operator; sending and editing are not automatic. It may be skipped for a legitimate editorial or operational reason that is recorded in the fulfillment audit history.

Integrity

Attempts to manipulate identity, traffic, payment, market state, or service controls may cause rejection, suspension, investigation, or cancellation. Content remains subject to the Content Rules.

Effective: August 28, 2026.
